Chief Executive Officer and Director
Mr. Ainsworth is a co-founder of Lowell Farms Inc. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. In 2006 Mr. Ainsworth founded Pastry Smart, the first American Humane Certified and Organic bakery and confectionary manufacturer in the United States. Specializing in research and development, Mr. Ainsworth consulted with multiple Fortune 500 companies and developed Pastry Smart products for globally recognized retailers such as Whole Foods Markets and Costco Wholesale Corporation. Prior to forming Pastry Smart, Mr. Ainsworth served as Executive Pastry Chef for Pebble Beach Company and in a similar capacity for The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company. He has served as a Pastry Chef under Master Chef Alfonso Contrisciani at the former Opus 251 in Philadelphia, a Pastry Cook at Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino, and began his career in the pastry kitchens of the Atlantic Inn and Lucca's.
A member of the American Culinary Federation since 2013, Mr. Ainsworth is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where he studied Pastry and Food Service Management, and he holds a certification from the French Pastry School.
Chief Product Officer
Mr. Dunmire joined the organization in April 2020, when it operated under the name Indus Holdings, Inc. As Senior Vice President of Strategy, Mr. Dunmire oversaw multiple growth initiatives, including the 2021 acquisition of Lowell Farms by Indus, and the subsequent name change and rebranding of the company. He has extensive experience within the cannabis industry, having served as Chief Development Officer for cannabis-focused restructuring and growth fund Geronimo Capital; and as Director of M&A and Corporate Strategy for multi-state cannabis operator Acreage Holdings.
While at Acreage, Mr. Dunmire oversaw more than $250 million in acquisitions and secured more than $315 million during the company’s 2018 reverse takeover of Applied Inventions Management Corporation; while managing its transition to a publicly traded organization and 2018 debut on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
Mr. Dunmire has previously served as Head of Partnerships for B2B eCommerce at ZX Ventures, the global growth and innovation arm of Anhueser-Busch InBev. He has also held leadership and strategy roles with American Express, and he is the co-founder of information technology services firm Red Line Labs.
Chief Revenue Officer
Mr. Lawrence most recently served as Vice President of Sales, Field Marketing, and Distribution for Flora California, Inc., one of the state’s largest licensed cannabis operators. Tasked with overseeing all purchasing, sales, distribution, and marketing for the organization, Mr. Lawrence oversaw the naming, branding, packaging, and marketing of the highly successful Sessions Supply Co. brand, increasing revenue to $500,000 within 100 days. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Lawrence co-founded California-based cannabis brand Crown Public in 2011, managing daily operations including compliance, purchasing, marketing, branding, sales, account management, accounting, and logistics; growing the organization to $14 million in revenue prior to leaving in 2018.
Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Montenegro previously served as Vice President of Commercialization, where she was responsible for planning and managing the timeline of launch of brand products into the market. This led the company stage gate process for the development of products in edible, topical, and extraction manufacturing of its THC and Hemp-CBD divisions. In addition, she served a critical role in shifting the company’s culture to one that is margin and KPI-driven.
Prior to joining Lowell Farms Inc., Ms. Montenegro served as the Founding Vice President of Consumer Packaged Goods and Operations where she developed a five-year strategic plan focused on establishing priorities and growth. She also aligned objectives and market potential, created annual operating and capital expenditure budgets, led implementation of their online business channel, and developed and executed marketing promotions to drive in house and online sales. In addition, Ms. Montenegro served as a buyer at Costco Wholesale after working her way through the ranks. During her tenure, she was responsible for buying, budgeting sales, and managing inventory, with over $1 Billion in annual sales in 53 Northern California locations.
Chief Financial Officer and Director
Brian Shure serves as Chief Financial Officer for Lowell Farms Inc., a leading vertically integrated cannabis company with world-class capabilities, including cultivation, extraction and manufacturing, brand sales, marketing, and distribution. An experienced and disciplined financial manager with more than 20 years of thought leadership as a portfolio manager and business operations executive, Mr. Shure applies his veteran talent to Lowell Farms Inc.’s growing market position in a rapidly changing and highly regulated industry; ensuring that the organization continues to achieve success within the boundaries of compliance.
Mr. Shure has served as President of Ambrose Capital Partners, an investment management firm directing public and private investments since 2008. He served as Chief Financial Officer of MedData, a revenue cycle management company in the healthcare industry, where he oversaw significant organic and M&A growth. Mr. Shure joined MedData following the company’s acquisition of Cardon Outreach, where he led finance and M&A strategy as Chief Financial Officer, growing EBITDA from less than $1 million to more than $30 million. He has also served as a Partner and was on the investment committee at Maximus Capital, a hedge fund dedicated to public health care investments.
Mr. Shure is on the board of Prevent Cancer Foundation, the only United States-based nonprofit organization solely dedicated to cancer prevention and early detection, and he has served on the Board of Beyond the Boroughs, a New York-based national scholarship fund.
